What I do

Tailor-made services for all events, no matter how large or small

Simultaneous interpreting

This is ideal for larger-scale events or conferences. Interpreters work in pairs in a sound-proofed booth and relay the message into a microphone in real time, which attendees can listen to by selecting the relevant channel on their receivers. This solution is certainly the most practical, as it enables the users to listen to the translation with no delays.

icon
Whispered interpreting

The interpreter sits next to the delegates and simultaneously translates what is being said (quietly, of course!). This is mainly used in small bilateral meetings where only one or two participants do not speak the foreign language.

icon
Liaison interpreting

This is particularly suited to business meetings with a limited number of participants. The interpreter sits alongside the speakers and no technical equipment is required, as translation takes place on a two-way, sentence-by-sentence basis.

icon
Consecutive interpreting

The interpreter takes notes while the speaker is delivering their speech or presentation, then translates sections of 5-6 minutes at a time.

icon
Remote simultaneous interpreting

MS Teams, Zoom and Webex are all equipped with built-in simultaneous interpreting features that allow participants to listen to the interpreter directly, but there are also specialist platforms with remote technical support before and during the event that offer a smoother experience.

FAQ

Yes! I regularly work with a network of trusted and highly skilled interpreters, so we are able to cover all of the main European languages (as well as others). Contact me to discuss the requirements for your event and I will put together the perfect team of interpreters.

Not directly, but I can act as the point of contact between clients and local suppliers of interpreting equipment (booths, headsets, etc.) and audiovisual equipment. I have good knowledge of the market in the UK and other European countries, and have partnered with a number of reliable and professional suppliers. If you wish, I can request quotes, compare offers and negotiate prices and conditions to save you time and money and ensure a top-quality service.

The cost of interpreting services depends on various factors, such as the duration, complexity, format and languages of the event. Simply send me a message with the details of your event to receive the most accurate and competitive quote. My prices are in line with the market standard and reflect the quality and professionalism of my work.

The cost of the service depends on the chosen format (simultaneous, liaison, consecutive, whispered), the duration of the event, the complexity of the topic and the languages involved. Quotes will also include travel, accommodation and subsistence where applicable.

This is standard practice for conference interpreting, because the interpreter must also spend time preparing for the event, studying materials and terminology, coordinating with other interpreters and the client, and arranging equipment rental (if necessary). The fee is then calculated based on the specific event, although discounts are available for assignments lasting 1-2 hours.
